My injury happened the last day of January 2006 when I fell skiing. Pop! Now the question is whether I need surgery or will I be OK without it. I'm 45 years old the outdoor activities I want to continue doing are skiing (groomed trails mostly, no jumping off cornices) day hikes, biking (on paved surfaces not mountain biking) walking in the woods and working in the yard. Seems like I can still do all these things. I have high hopes for not needing surgery but also not turning into an "indoors person" since I usually spend a lot of time outdoors.

So far so good . . . time will tell.
