45 year old father of 4 boys, 3 at home one at Princeton, suburban Pittsburgh resident, injured knee originally playing soccer in college in 1982. Rehabilitated the knee instead of surgery and made it twenty two years without any problems, playing competitive soccer the entire time. Started experiencing instability in the knee playing soccer in 2003. Started wearing a brace and opted for PT instead of surgery. Recovered, but injured knee twisting on steps in October of 2004. Had ACL allo on November 4, 2004. Developed excessive scar tissue and had debridement and manipulation surgery February 3, 2005. Gained 30+ pounds. Started jogging June 20, 2005. Plan to play soccer again in October!
Started playing soccer again and losing weight. Thanks to all over the past few months!
I am playing soccer and other sports without restrictions. I have lost all weight gained and then some. I have returned to all activities including skiing and skating.
