I received a letter from a Pro scout of the San Antonio Spurs my junior year in college, 4 games into the season I tore my ACL. Heart broke, but not discouraged I had an ACL reconstruction of my patellar tendon. I rehab hard between 6-8 months, and when I returned to play I didn't have my confidence to dunk and block shots which was my favorite part of the game.
I ended my season on a not so stellar year.
Trying to reach my full potential I acquired a contract overseas to Germany. I played hard and eventually obtain my confidence back as well as my agility. The next season I receive a contract to play on a QABL team in Australia. Having an outstanding year scoring 50+ three times throughout the season. I expected to obtain a NBL contract the following season.
I returned home, upon being asked to come back for another season. One month before flying back to Aussie, I'm at the gym on a break away dunk! I'm about to 360 Jam it when, I felt a pop like no other. I later went to get another MRI which showed that my graft was all messed up. It is now a year later and I am working for an Insurance Brokerage firm, but I would like to get my fixed to a least play some pick up. I've heard that taking your patellar from your opposite knee is a good option...???
