Hi there. Got an ACL left knee reconstruction (hamstring allograft) on Monday December 3rd. When the surgeon got in he noticed problems with both meniscus and stiched one (I believe) and played/ try to repear the other one. He showed me the cool pictures of his work but I was too high to remember everything precisely! I will ask more during my post op visit this coming Wed. and post.
I have been a heavy soccer/tennis/volleyball player form age 6 and am now 42. For the last two years I was limited to aqua aerobics and "in the axis" type sportslike cycling and such.... but I missed going after a ball (even I I know that there will be no more competitive level on these)and having my knee give in...So I got the operation at Kaiser Permanente in Los Angeles.
Ah oui, my name is French because I am a Franco-American! Voila!
