All of a sudden I hurt my right knee and I'd like to know how to treat it. The pain seems to be concentrated in the two ligaments or tendons at the back of the knee.
These are both very tender and painful and are concentrated at the knee. I can only get up from a chair by hanging onto a walker. The pain just started suddenly this morning (It is now 5 pm) and has been pretty strong all day. I am using a knee brace, which helps some. I also used a cold pack for awhile. I also took 2 Bufferin.

I think I hurt the knee by falling forward over snow skis many years ago. No surgery has ever been done on the knee and I don't want to go that route.

I am postig here to try to find out whether it is ligaments or tendons that are the problem. Today is Sunday and I have not gone to a doctor. Would appreciate any suggestions on how to treat this problem.
