Hi all,
Thanks for sharing your info. It has helped me immensely. I am an active, 49 year old, female, ruptured my acl skiing over 20 years ago. Been getting by without surgery, but 6 years ago injured my knee skiing with my Donjoy Defiance brace on. Since then have given up skiing, basketball, tennis and even running. Took up cycling which has been great for my knees. Lately hiking downhills have been scary- knee feels unstable. Anyway, finally got acl reconstruction surgery January 4, (patellar allograft) and we will see how it goes. I hope telling my story will help someone else who is going through similar.
