My knee story:
Ruptured ACL in R knee in 1990, but was told by school nurse I'd strained ligaments. Since that time my knee occasionally gave way without warning, often when doing everyday activities. Fast forward to 2006 and my knee gives way when I run to answer the phone (wish I hadn't - it was a telemarketer!). This time is different - my knee doesn't 'click back' into place and I'm in a lot of pain. Over the next month I have x-rays and an MRI scan and start physio. Diagnosed with ruptured ACL and bucket handle tear of the medial meniscus.
My surgeon recommends a hamstring graft, and this takes place on 7th December 2006 in Geelong, Australia.
