I'm a 63 year old female. Had an ACL reconstructed in 1992, using a patellar graft. In 2001, I popped the other ACL and did not have it reconstructed. Now I've sprained the MCL, and the knee is completely unstable. I walk a lot because I live in a city. One doc has recommended reconstruction, using a cadaver ligament. I'm getting a second opinion. The first surgery was really hard. But I don't want to spend what's left of my life in a brace.
