My 15yo son had acl surgery for football injury 9 months ago. After 8 months, doctor gave ok for all sports/activities. ACL tore again after 3 weeks. Now, he's facing another surgery. Are there different considerations for a reinjury like this? The first surgeon was not helpful in explaining what might have gone wrong...defensive perhaps?
Has anyone tried platelet rich plasma treatment for this type surgery?
Any other ideas?
Also, how do I get a depressed 15yo to exercise (swim, bike) a few months after this next surgery?
