Had a diagnosis on arthroscopy of ACL tear (60%)/ chondromalacia patella -> made 3&1/2 yrs ago, in my younger days had been a professional highland dancer for a mere 13yrs, figure skater for several yrs in my teens & high jumper throughout high school - main landing leg in the latter two sports the affected one (debridement performed only, as to quote surgeon “was 39yrs and not a professional athlete”!!!), downside being that I still enjoyed squash/water-skiing. Have had a fairly ok time since with exercising, have followed 'the rules' and given up most of my sports except swimming (miss the social aspect of team sports immensely!!!), BUT several days ago, knee began to become painful, swollen (obvious fluid collection), limited range of movement and instability whilst mobilising - still ongoing and trying to 'work' through it. No obvious 'twisting' or 'planting' of foot.
