I am the mother of a 17 year old girl who had a catastrophic knee injury when she was 11.Her right knee was snapped backward while being vaulted from a trampoline surface then came crashing to the surface on the damaged knee.
She has had five surgeries including the origional one that saved her from amputation. Her surgeries have included meniscus transplants and the instalation of the ACL LCL MCL and PCL. she's had the patella tendon moved to stop the kneecap from riding up out of the grove it is intended to be in.
She bravely lives and functions with a very high level of pain.
