In 2003 when I was 47, I tore my ACL playing tennis. Went through 6 months of rehab and with my nifty knee brace was able to play tennis, even singles, for 3 years until the knee went out on me and this time added some medial meniscus damage. Not being ready for the rocking chair, at age 50, had surgery on Dec. 19, 2006 using an allograft. Anxiously waiting 6-9 months, from date of surgery, (Dr's timetable) to find out if I can get back on the courts.
