I am deeply saddened to hear about a young woman, seemingly in the prime of her life that has to put her life on hold to udergo half a dozen or more knee surgeries. Right now there are two young women's posts on this board who have had at least that many surgeries. I have not forgotten about the woman who had 38 knee surgeries, one of which ending in an above the knee amputation. This underscores the general lack of competence on the part of those caregivers.

85% of ACL surgeries in this country are done by docs who do 10 or less per year. Misplaced tunnels, loose knees, overtightened knees are as much an epidemic as the ACL injuries themselves.
