There is always some kid selling a new fastener. And these kids will tell doc anything to get him or her to use the product.

A neat new minimally tested 1000 dollar fastener, installed, then cycled durng rehab several million times over the first six months will not change the immutable biological facts of tendon to bone healing.(while the fastener may be strog at time zero, at day 180 its strength is absoultely unknown, assuming that no human sacrifice experiemens were performed) Changing our DNA may do the trick, but nit the new fastener sold by the smiling college kid. This is a perfect example of how industry is attempting to suplant basic biological facts.

Two years from now, everyone who either installed one of these or had one will be crying in thier beer, looking for an alternative explanation.
