Thanks Brez and Footster for your replies!
I got on the stationery bike for the first time today and the knee felt good. I felt like I could go much faster but I didn't want to push it and the therapist also said to go slow.
It's been 2 weeks and 3 days since I had the surgery. Pain in the lower tibia has subsided and ROM has improved quite a bit.
My question is when do you think I'll be able to get on an eliptical machine?
I'm really frustrated at not being able to break some sweat and am eager to get a decent cardio workout. I know I can never get a good workout on a stationery bike and hence would like to know approximately how long I have to wait until I can get on an eliptical machine so that I can get a good workout and to strengthen the knee at the same time.
I will definitely not return to sports such as tennis or flag football for another 6 months as advised by the doctor but would like to start using the eliptical machine soon so that I can burn some calories.
Thanks!
