My son had auto hamstring. We love our ortho and he had a great track record with this surgery and getting athletes back quickly. Did not want to search out a different ortho. My son (15 at the time) tore his ACL in August, had surgery in November. Was back training soccer (lightly)in February (3 months). Made the state ODP team in March. Played ODP and SuperY throughout the summer. Received coach's award for his hs team for highest number of goals and assists. I do not think he was at his peak, and it will be interesting to see how club goes this spring/summer. He is definitely still improving. He was slow at first and worried every time he felt a new sensation in his knee (as was I!) He did do nordic skiing as his school sport over the winter (a first). I believe that was probably the best rehab he could have done.
