An immunological reaction is physiological, not structural. It wouldn't be evident on an MRI. As for what caustic materials the graft was soaked in, perhaps you can still access those records. In my state of Texas, they are maintained for six years, then shredded. Either way, I would bet my all my meger fortune that this is the trouble. Its hard to prove, but what else could it be? A chronically inflamed knee is far worse than one with no ACL graft. I would take it out, and install your own patella tendon. Then, I wouldn't have to worry, and you could go back to your old life- if you remember what it was like.

If your doctor hasn't though about it, perhaps he/she needs to take some more CME.
