I had surgery 5.5 weeks ago, I still have pain and swelling on my shin the whole way to my ankle sometimes. It gets especially bad for me when I bend past about 130 degrees, and I still have a lump of fluid way down on my shin almost at the bottom (seems like a wierd place for fluid to build up to me.) But anyway, my doc and PT people don't seem at all concerned when I explain and show them. It sounds pretty normal to me. Best of luck, I hope your time goes by fast.
