Patellar Tendonitis After ACL Surgery
Posted By: Jenn Hooven Date: Wednesday, 12 March 2008, at 12:15 p.m.
I'm about six weeks post surgery with a pat. graph. (same side). I just got out of my brace this week, and the pain in my patella tendon seems to have gotten worse. It really fires off when I'm sitting and holding my surgical leg off the ground (like to lift up onto an ottoman or something) and when I do bridge excersises. My PT mentioned almost as an aside when I was doing clamshells, "if it hurts the tendon, don't do it, switch positions". Should I refrain from anything that hurts the tendon? What increases or decreases my chances of developing tendonitis? Is there anything I should be doing to treat that pain specifically?
