Patella tendon related pain is common after patella reconstructions, as is hamstring pain and weakness after hamstring reconstructions.
Its a problem that one has to power on through with. As the strenth increases, the pain dissapates. OUr patients do step ups and ride the stationary bike one hour per day every day, getting their heart rate up to the target rate for their age. Also, this problem will not go away if one does not have full extension equal to the other side. If one doesn't have it, they have to get it.
