one year later...pain in my knee

Hi. I don't want to complain b/c I am living my life to the fullest again...but....I do have pain when I have tried to run. And, I still notice my knee when I am hiking or walking down steps. I thought that would be gone by now.

It's like the weight of it (even on trails) is hurting my bones. It hurts at the top of my tibia and fibula (achey) and bilaterally up my femur for a few inches. My muscle mass isn't quite equal to my other thigh, but the definition is pretty good. Is this common one year later? Anybody else experience this? Is this a result of using my patellar ligament and that's the pain I am feeling? I am trying to make sure that I am not causing any damage and see if I should try to move through the pain....any help / suggestions out there?

Thanks for reading!!!
