Dr. Mark: To be honest, the reason I had the 2 failed allografts in mu right knee is because I do not have a medial meniscus. And the reason the autograft in my left knee failed was because the tunnels weren't put in the proper position. And another thing the surgeon that did my 5 previous knee surgeries does on average of about 300 of these procedures a year. The orthopod that did my surgery on Mar. 12th does a high volume of those procedures. As for me putting my life on hold, that will not happen because in the midst of all the operations, I haven't missed one day of college. Im still active. I don't stop living my life just because Ive had knee problems. I had my ACL surgery a week ago, started PT two days post-op( was able to bend my knee to 76 degrees, on Tues. I was able to bend it to 110 degrees). I had the surgery during spring break(last week )and came back to school on Mon. Better watch what you say.
