Alcohol???

I'm having surgery tomorrow morning. I know that I am not supposed to ingest anything short of air after midnight. Fine, I understand will comply as always with this very rational and intelligent request. But while I am having dinner tonight, would it be wrong or dangerous to have a glass of wine or two -- small and early?

I don't want to be bad, but I'd love a glass of wine with my pasta tonight.

Any thoughts and advice are welcome.
