definitely go see an orthopedic surgeon... i used to work for them, and what you are describing is not a problem that rest will help... it may be okay but if it is not you may do more damage to it when you try to work out or play soccer again. the only thing you have to lose by seeing a doctor is money, not going to see one you could tear something beyond repair. face your fear that there may be something wrong and go get it checked out, and not by your primary care, bc these things can be easily misdiagnosed. also may want to see a different surgeon than the one who originally did your repair, because you are still having pain 4 years out.

also was it a repair or a reconstruction? repairs tend to have lower success rates...
