As far as I know, after ACL reconstruction, meniscus repair is a breeze. I also tore my meniscus when I tore the ACL so my OS did it all at once. He stitched mine b/c it wasn't a big tear. It put me in an immobilizer longer than most but it seems to be holding up. I know when they stitch the meniscus you have to be off the knee longer as opposed to when they strip it. I don't know what your OS is planning to do. I think typical recovery is 4-6 weeks. Better than 4-6 months huh? I am sure Dr. mark can shed some better light on this than me.
