sorry -- posted without a response. I had the same surgery you did and am at the 3 month mark. I was off crutches at home around 2 1/2 weeks and totally without at 3. It depends on the strength of the quad etc. Stiffness is par for the course and it does go away I promise. Although these days I am a weather forcaster. :) As far as bending it goes, my doc/pt recommended sitting on your kitchen table and letting the leg hang down. Now, I used the other leg underneath the calf to slowly lower it down b/c like you it was hard hard hard. I could straighten no problem, bending was tough. Also, legs down a wall is great. Takes the weight off. You may already be doing these excercises in PT. With the patella graft though, don't do any leg lifts yet b/c the graft is not healed. I could only do it in the brace until about a month I think. But lowering the leg with the other leg was good, also laying on your back and bending your knees, like you are going to do crunches, trying to get your heel, on the floor to your butt. Hope that makes sense. Good luck and hang in there!!!
