At least it's just the meniscus. Ive had both menisci in both knees torn. I have no medial meniscus and barely any lateral meniscus in my right knee. Ive had a total of 7 knee surgeries. I just underwent the 2nd ACL Reconstruction on my L. knee. That was a walk in the park compared to the other 3 ACL surgeries. My previous ortho doc attempted to do ACL surgery twice on my R. knee. I know why those didnt work. It's because there is no medial meniscus to anchor the graft. The type of recovery you have is contingent on the type of ortho doc you have. My ortho guy is what they term a rapid recovery surgeon. He skilled in specific techniques that speed up a patient's recovery. Good luck!!
