In Response To: Re: post op 6 day acl reconstruction (OLarryR)

I had an ACL reconstruction on my left knee 1 month ago. My ortho doc used the patellar tendon bone tendon allograft. I didn't experience any tingling sensation, or in that case any swelling. If your having any tingling 6 days post op, then you need to tell your ortho doc about it. It may not be anything, but it's better to be safe than sorry. The reason your knee feels like it's being ripped off could be due to the immobilizer your wearing. Those things are a pain in the butt. Are you allowed to sleep without wearing the immobilizer? I found great relief not wearing when i was laying around my apartment. Anyways good luck on recovery!!1
