playing soccer and pointy ball without an ACL is chancy with your meniscus, you don't have to worry about your ACL since it's gone.
No brace is a substitute for a ACL and no brace is worth a fig for pivoting, twisting issues.
If this senior year thing and you plan on "retiring" from pivoting sports, I suppose you might feel the risk is worth it. But if it's something besides your senior year, it doesn't make sense to me.
There are refs that won't allow a brace. Not common, but it happens.
