Do you have an active lifestyle? Many people do just fine without ACL reconstructive surgery.
I almost never do ACL surgery on Workman's Compensation patients. They are rarely satisfied with their operation, and I can barely think of a job beyond that of a school coach, cop or fireman that requres ACL surgery.
There isn't a heap of difference in the post op course between one graft type and another. In fact, the peer reviewed studies have shown that post op pain is unrelated to graft type. There is a way bigger difference between operation and no operation.
