I had and had no plans of insulting anyone, except professional athletes who, have the same mental strength and weakness of the rest of us mortals.

I have been hearing from patients for over 20 years that they want Tommy John's surgery, or some other famous guy's operation. Sometimes its the right thing to do, and many times its not.

If Carson Palmer elected to have a dead person's tendon installed in his knee is not the decision of the team that pays him 100 million dollars, but his decsion that he made for exactly the same reason that anyone on this board made theirs. Just because he does it, it doesn't make it right.

His choices, despite his personal wealth, are not necessarily any better than the Mom who had the contralateral ACL graft done on her childs' knee. I would bet that that Mom, wouldn't trade her child even for way more than 100 million.

The overwhelming legal troubles of so many other famous superstars, such as Bonds, Clemens, and Vick drive the point home, that these guys do not have a particuarly strong record of making the right personal decisions.

My point is simple. Money can't buy brains. No insult meant anyone who's name I didn't mention on this post.
