ACL Revision (Thermal Shrink)

Hi all I have been here before thought I was good, and my knee never got stable after reconstruction. I have found a new doctor who agreed to surgery and had it done. while he was in the knee he found patella turned and tore up cartilidge on back of knee cap. also anterior horn of Medial Menicus torn. he cut those out and then check ACL with moderate to severe laxity. He did a thermal shrinkage on ACL and said it was all good. (ACL was placed to far anterior from last surgery)
What is the general feeling on the Thermal Shrinkage? whats the chance of failure? just wondering was not too happy when he said knee was real loose, but wanted to try shinking? Thanks
