11 Months Post Op

I am 11 months post -op from auto patellar surgery. Biggest mistake I have ever made. I do not have resting pain, but descending stairs, running more than 30 seconds on a treadmill are extremely painful. One would think after 11 months it would began feeling normal. Basically the knee feels like it’s In a vice. When I complained to my OS 4 months ago when I was released for full duty his response was “better than being loose?” I was sold the 1k Donjoy ACl brace, which I discarded after 3 days. What a scam that was.

I am in Law Enforcement and cannot just take off 6 months here and there to have re surgeries. I work out 5-7 days a week on my own. Insurance only covered 20 physical therapy sessions. I am finally forcing most of the fexation back , but cannot hyperextend. I would think Long and Hard before I ever let any one cut my knee cap out again ( auto patellar)

Anyone else having problems at this late stage in rehab ?
Regards,
Don
