Don,

I'm sorry to hear about your situation. The graft choice isn't the culprit, however. It's most likely the procedure itself or the rehab protocol that was prescribed to you. It's possible that the tunnels weren't placed correctly or that you weren't told to focus on regaining early extension.

I'm 5 months pre-op (contralateral auto patella), and am back playing competitive sports (without a brace). I'm about 95% back to pre-op speed and agility at this point. My legs are stronger now than they have ever been, which is a result of the rehab process. I have slight graft site pain when descending stairs, but it's slowly going away as the graft site heals.
