If the tunnels were placed poorly, then it would be obvious from an ordinary X-ray. You don't need to spend 1000 dollars on an MRI to tell you so.

Never take the issue of some doc as the team doctor for the "Who-Ever-They-Ares too seriously. Most of these positons are awarded when the clinic or hospital purchases a sponsorship.

Google AJSM, Ethics in Sports Medicine and you can get the scoop on the team doctor business, or perhaps Michael has it in the Knee Library.
