Your other choice would be a patella tendon graft from the front of your own knee, either the same side or the other leg. This is the graft most competitive athletes choose. I had an auto patella, same side, and am back to playing competitive soccer. I had the procedure when I was 40. I was very wary of using a cadaver graft due to the very small chance of disease transmission but mostly the possibility of getting a low quality graft. If you're healthy, and it sounds like you are, your own parts are best, you'll sleep better.
