To have or not to have ACL surgery

Hello:

I'm 43 year old active guy with a preference for cycling, skiing, tennis and some running. In 1998 I had my left ACL done with patella tendon graft. Tore my right ACL in January and have rehabed since. I'm scheduled for surgery in 2 weeks but quite frankly I can cycle fine and with a brace maybe I can ski. Knee definitely is not as strong as left knee but if I had to I could live this way. Is it worth having the ACL surgery?
