In Response To: acl reconstruction (Simon Gill)

I had hamstring acl recon. and partial meniscus repair in Nov. 2008. During my recovery process, I had times when everything felt very good and other times when I would lose some range of motion due to swelling/stiffness. At 8 weeks I started jogging (treadmill only). I would walk for 3 mins, jog for 2 mins, and contine to build up. My muscle strength was still lacking but good enough to increase physical activity. Even at 7 months post op, there are times when I may experience stiffness and pain for a few days. Don't worry too much, you'll have your ups and downs but it will come!
