Also, I wanted to add that I am very grateful for Dr. Mark's advice I received here 3 years ago along with my surgeon's advice - which was pretty much the same as Dr. Mark except for wanting to do contra-lateral knees.

My surgeon took my kneecap and screwed it in to be my new ACL - the recon-ACL is strong. The harvest site feels fine too. Feels like it filled in and healed up fine. The graft defects (the bone plugs on each end), he filled in those 2 sites with a paste he made from my bone shavin's and they filled in great too.

Rehab went great. Didn't get patellar tendinitis or any problems around the patella area at all.
