In Response To: Cadaver graft complication rate, dr. Mark ? (meel)

Everyone who reads my posts must first click on my user name and read my profile. Sue Barber Westin and Dr. Frank Noyes noted the high, approximately 30% failure rate for allograft reconstructions, years ago. Having read all the literature since then, the failure rate for allos haven't changed very much.

For that reason, I only use autogenous tendon tissue. I can't say I have every been sorry that I used an autograft. They have even stood up well to post op Staph infections, and allow a relatively early return to sports.
